Dr Oz Green Coffee Bean Extract: Magic Weight Loss?

While an expert on weight loss and healthy living, the initial Dr Oz Green Coffee episode raised some controversy from the audience that watched the show on television.

Dr Oz claimed the green coffee bean extract to be the “miracle” weight loss supplement based on a single 22-week government study that involved only 16 overweight adults.

The results of this single green coffee bean extract study, however, were significant:

“Significant reductions were observed in body weight (−8.04 ± 2.31 kg), body mass index (−2.92 ± 0.85 kg/m2), and percent body fat (−4.44% ± 2.00%), as well as a small decrease in heart rate (−2.56 ± 2.85 beats per minute), but with no significant changes to diet over the course of the study.” - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3267522/

The most notable factor of green coffee bean extract perhaps, as pointed out by Dr Oz on the two episodes, is that there were “no significant changes to diet over the course of the study.”

The first Dr Oz green coffee bean extract episode resulted in Dr Oz being verbally attacked by some viewers as they took his word when he claimed it to be “the miracle weight loss supplement”. Some viewers had become upset by the fact that they did not experience any significant weight loss results.

However, the reason behind this is because after the first Dr Oz green coffee bean extract episode aired, many fraudulent internet vendors of fake green coffee sprouted up by the hundreds.

To combat this issue and justify his claims, Dr Oz decided to do another episode on his project regarding the powerful weight loss properties of green coffee extract (see above):

Let’s recap what to look for to avoid online scams. Make sure:
